Product detailed description
Secretary J-105 by Jindřich Halabala, designed in 1946 for Uměleckoprůmyslové Závody. Halabala worked at the Brno headquarters of UP Závody, where he had been main architect and head of the studio since 1930. Halabala was originally a carpenter and later graduated from the School of Applied Arts under Professor Pavel Janák. In this design, Halabala combines the rounded lines of aesthetic design with traditional materials.
The secretary is made of solid wood with walnut veneer. The top has a large storage space. Under the top there is a glass cabinet, drawers and two large lockable cupboards at the bottom. Under the worktop on the right is a pull-out tray, originally used for food preparation. The secretary has been completely restored in our workshop using natural oils and waxes.
