Product detailed description
The wooden chair with corduroy cover was made in the 1980s according to a design by Zbyněk Hřivnáč for the Zlatá Praha restaurant of the Intercontinental Hotel in 1986.
Architect and interior designer Zbyněk Hřivnáč was a trained carpenter and in the 1950s he studied Interior Design and Industrial Design. He collaborated on the design of several important interiors, such as the Hotel Internacional in Prague, Hotel Praha, interiors for the CSA and the Czechoslovak embassies in London and Washington. One of his last complex projects was the interior design of the Water Works Headquarters building.
The wooden parts were completely renovated in our workshop and the original seat and backrest were reupholstered in green corduroy fabric.
