Product detailed description
Marie Makeeva’s original work, which comprises half of the body of a carousel swan, is intended to be hung on the wall as a relief. The piece depicts the black swan from Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s book of the same name, which examines the phenomenon of unforeseeable events and the chaos that results from them.
The “Black Swan” is part of the Swans project, which was created as a tribute to director Věra Chytilová’s film The Inheritance, or Fuckoffguysgoodday. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film, we approached three artists and designers to create artworks out of one of its iconic symbols: a full-sized carousel swan.
About the artist:

Wall-mounted artwork the size of a carousel attraction
This full-size carousel swan is designed to hang on the wall as a decoration for the home or a creative work environment. It is an exact polyurethane foam replica of the typical carousel attraction, which was then cut in half. This is a unique work of art, and only this single original piece was created.
The weight of the swan is 12 kg.
