Made by Napako in the 1950s to a design by Josef Hůrka, this floor lamp was part of the Czechoslovak pavilion at EXPO 58 in Brussels, nicknamed 'Rocket'. The lamp has a lampshade made of sealed plastic fibres and is mounted on a wooden tripod. The lamp uses an E27 bulb.
Napako was founded in 1919 by an association of small private companies in Prague and the name was created by combining the first syllables of the words toolmaker, passers, metal printer. Since the 1940s the company has been associated with the name of Josef Hůrka, who for decades designed highly successful luminaires for the company.
