Product detailed description
Functionalist Modela wooden sofa from the 1930s by the famous Czech designer Jindřich Halabala, when he was main architect of the Uměleckoprůmyslové Závody. Halabala was originally a carpenter and later studied at the School of Applied Arts under Professor Pavel Janák, where his work probably acquired its functionalist purity of form.
This sofa was one of the most popular sofas produced by UP Závody at the time.
The sofa bed is made of solid oak wood, which is bent in certain areas using a special technology. The armrests can be folded into four positions, so the sofa can be unfolded for resting. The entire sofa has been completely renovated, including the folding system and new upholstery in green fabric.
