Glass lamp called Pawn by designer Ivan Jakeš. Ivan Jakeš was for many years a designer for the national company Osvětlovací sklo in Valašské Meziříčí, he made hundreds of designs for Osvětlovací sklo, characterised by simplicity and clear lines, but the chess piece lamps designed in 1970 are among his most famous designs, the most famous are the white variants of the Sagittarius piece, but other pieces were also produced, in many bright colours, and exported abroad. The Pawn lamp is made of double-layered white patterned glass, and when lit the upper part gives a pleasantly warm light with a smooth transition. The lamp is working and in very good condition.
