Bedside table cuff cabinet
Code: 2502001Product detailed description
A wooden cuff cabinet that is truly unique - it was created by mounting together two bedside tables by Jindřich Halabala. The tables were made in the 1950s for the Brno-based United Arts and Crafts Works, a major Czechoslovak furniture manufacturer and retailer that Halabala himself had led in the 1930s. UP Závody focused on simple, functional furniture and consistent advertising, including in the magazine Bytová kultura.
The contrasting dark legs and handles are of solid beech, while the light brown body is of larch veneer. The cabinet has four pull-out drawers and one flip-out drawer. The top was once covered with opaxite glass, but now shows signs of wear. It has been cleaned, but the varnish is scratched and darkened in places.
If you are interested in having the cuff cabinet restored, please contact us using the enquiry form.
